Claude Skills I Like: A Living List

Last updated: October 20, 2026

Claude skills are the most useful thing to happen to my workflow this year: a folder with a SKILL.md file that teaches the agent a repeatable job, plus the scripts and references it needs to do the job well. The good ones live on GitHub and most are free. This is my shortlist, organized by what they are for. It is a living post: I add sections and repos as I find them, and the date at the top is the last time I touched it.

Job

linkedin-agent-skill by Jakeschincariol

Eleven skills that run a LinkedIn account without ever posting for you: posts built from 21 hook formulas, comments, replies, a weekly plan, and a profile scorer that grades you out of 100 and rewrites whatever lost points. The best part is the humanizer, which strips em dashes, invisible characters, and slop vocabulary out of a draft and scores it before you see it. The skills write, you paste. Free, MIT, about 2,400 stars.

ai-job-search by MadsLorentzen

A full job search that runs on your machine. A Claude Code framework that builds your profile once, then scrapes job portals, scores each posting against your profile, tailors your CV and cover letter per role with a drafter and reviewer pair, tracks the applications, and preps you for interviews. The author ran his own search on it: 69 applications, 20 first interviews, one signed contract. Free, MIT, about 60,000 stars.

Finance

Vibe-Trading by HKUDS

A personal trading agent from the HKU data science lab: cross-market data, backtesting, multi-agent trading teams, and a shadow account so the agent can prove itself on paper before it touches real money. It connects to brokers through MCP, and live orders sit behind human approval, which is the only sane default. Free, MIT, about 36,000 stars.

AutoHedge by The Swarm Corporation

An autonomous hedge fund built from a swarm of agents: a Director generates the thesis, a Quant runs the numbers, a Risk agent sizes the position, and an Execution agent places the trade. Full autonomous trading on Solana today, Coinbase on the roadmap. Fascinating architecture; read the code before you fund it. Free, MIT, about 6,400 stars.

Design

apple-design-skill by dickwu

A design reviewer with Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines memorized: all 123 HIG pages pulled from developer.apple.com, translated into Flutter, React Native, Tauri, Electron, and native terms. It audits screens for accessibility, platform conventions, and craft, cites the guideline behind every finding, and its code audit mode hunts the Apple Pay and Liquid Glass mistakes that get apps rejected. Works with Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex. About 1,700 stars.

More sections coming. If a skill earns a place here, it is because I would hand it to a friend, not because anyone asked me to list it.
